Lucy Burrough Reynolds Critz

Lucy Burrough Reynolds was born Feb, 17, 1858. 

Well educated, Lucy attended school in Mount Airy, North Carolina, Salem Female Academy in North Carolina, and Sullins College in Bristol.

She was known for her financial intellect and knowledge of the New York Stock Market.

In 1888, Lucy married Robert C. Critz, one of the first students at Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College, now Virginia Tech. They had six daughters and two sons.

They moved to Bristol where Robert worked with A.D. Reynolds.

In 1893, they moved to Winston, North Carolina, where Robert worked as secretary of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.

She died in 1953 at age 95.
