William Neal Reynolds
William Neal Reynolds was born March 22, 1863.
In 1882, he entered King College in Bristol with his brother Walter Robert. Older brother A.D. Reynolds covered their expenses.
The brothers later left King College and entered Trinity College (now Duke University).
He worked for older brother R.J. Reynolds during the summer and joined his firm in 1890 as director and became president in 1918 after R.J.'s death.
He married Kate G. bitting in 1889. They were childless but cared for their many neices and nephews.
An avid golfer, horseman, and philanthropist, William Neal built a hospital for African Americans in Winston, North Carolina, named in memory of his wife.
He died in 1951 at age 88.
