The view from the top is truly spectacular, offering a 360-degree look at the Blue Ridge Mountains. Google Maps can sometimes have difficulty locating the trailhead, stay on Moles Road until you see the preserve sign. (890 Moles Rd SW, Willis, VA 24380)

Flanking Bottom Creek are forests of mixed hardwoods (tulip poplar, maple, oak, hickory) and upland meadows. Five rare species thrive in this habitat.

This route combines several trails within the Bottom Creek Gorge Preserve, including the Knight Trail (yellow blazes), Johnston Trail (red blazes), and Duval Trail (blue blazes).
