Reynolds Homestead is accepting resumes for a historical education internship position this summer.
This employer is willing to host a high school OR college-level intern for this paid internship. This program requires that selected interns work between 225-250 hours between May and August, exact dates to be confirmed in coordination with the successful applicant. Job duties and work schedules will be determined by the employer.

Reynolds Homestead is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate intern to assist with historical education planning and implementation.
Work will include a combination of the following, based on skills and organizational needs:
Creating an online archive of photos and documents
Assist with social media development for historic home tours, docent recruitment, and special events at the Reynolds Homestead
Develop lesson plans incorporating historic home, African American enslaved community, and additional educational experiences incorporating VA SOLs
Support development of digital resources for docent-led tours
Inventory library contents and lead development of a library management system
Conduct research on potential program topics and classes, instructors, and community partners
Assist with post event evaluation tracking
Administrative and other duties as assigned
A successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to historical interpretation and creative approaches to educational outreach, planning, and implementation.
